Stephan Nardella, professionally known as Mickey Nox, is a Melbourne-based mixing and mastering engineer and the founder of his own boutique studio. Known for his precision, communication, and collaborative approach, Stephan brings a high level of craftsmanship and care to every project that enters the studio.

Before opening Mickey Nox Mastering in 2019, Stephan built the infamous Green Fetish Records—a label that quickly became a staple in the global techno scene. His textured, aggressive, and highly individual productions earned him a respected reputation among fans and peers, while his passion, approach, and willingness to teach have cemented him as a valued figure within the community.

Stephan’s journey began in 2007 as a DJ and producer, but it was in the studio where he truly came alive. As he grew creatively, his curiosity for mixing and mastering intensified—driven in part by his own frustrations as an artist dealing with inconsistent audio quality, poor communication, and limited collaboration from engineers. That push became the catalyst for building a mastering studio built on clarity, care, and uncompromising standards.

Today, Stephan’s versatility across techno, electronic, pop, and commercial music has led him to work on thousands of records for artists, labels, and producers worldwide. His philosophy focuses not only on elite sonic results, but on creating a seamless, supportive experience from first message to final approval.

2025 was a major milestone year, with records mastered for Ben Gerrans, Tyron Hapi, and Conrad Sewell—and 2026 is set to raise the bar even higher.
